Registration is Now Open for CIDA's Virtual Accreditation Workshop Sessions

CIDA is offering four virtual sessions focused on different aspects of the accreditation process. Participants can register for individual sessions or all four sessions for a discounted rate. To register, please visit the CIDA website here.

The following sessions will be offered:

1.       CIDA’s Accreditation Process and Important Policies, Wednesday, March 16 from 12:00-1:30 pm eastern time, Cost $75 per person

CIDA staff will review the accreditation process (both virtual and campus based) and important policies and answer program questions. 

2.       Program Self-study, Thursday, March 17 from 1:00-3:30 pm eastern time, Cost $125 per person

Jill Pable, Professor and Chair of the Department of Interior Architecture and Design at Florida State University, will describe her program’s approach to self-study leading up to a CIDA accreditation review. Lynn Jones, CIDA site visitor and Faculty Emerita at Brenau University, will discuss preparing an effective Program Analysis Report for an accreditation review. This session will include a panel discussion with the presenters. 

3.       Organizing a Student Work Display, Friday, March 18 from 3:00-5:30 pm eastern time, Cost $125 per person 

Tilanka Chandrasekera, Associate Professor and Leslie Moore, Visiting Professor in the Department of Design at Oklahoma State University, will describe how the interior design program organized a virtual student work display for a recent CIDA accreditation review. Natalie Rowe, Interior Design Professor and Program Coordinator and Dana Morningstar, Associate Dean of the School of Design at Fanshawe College, will discuss the virtual display that was organized for their interior design program’s initial CIDA accreditation review. This session will include a panel discussion with the presenters. 

4.       CIDA’s Professional Standards 2022, Friday, March 25 from 1:00-3:00 pm eastern time, Cost $100 per person

Lisa Tucker, Chair of the Interior Design program at Virginia Tech and Barbara Marini, Director of Interior Design at the University of Texas at Arlington will join this session to discuss Professional Standards 2022 with CIDA staff and participants.
