CIDA video educates public about professional practice and the value of attending an accredited interior design program

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) is excited to announce a new video highlighting the importance of CIDA accreditation through the eyes of students, educators, new and seasoned practitioners, as well as employers.

Students and parents begin the important process of selecting an interior design program with varying levels of awareness of the breadth of the profession and the importance of higher education. The goal of CIDA’s video is to provide prospective students with real-life testimonials about interior design practice and the benefits of CIDA’s quality assurance process. “CIDA has long been one of the first informational resources students encounter when considering a career in interior design and, especially, when selecting an interior design program. This new video is a step further in helping students understand the scope and impact of interior design and how CIDA accreditation supports their future success,” states Lisa Waxman, Ph.D., FIDEC, ASID, CIDA Board Chair.

CIDA encourages accredited programs, professional organizations, and industry partners to share and link to the video as an informational tool and resource.

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation is an independent, non-profit, accrediting organization responsible for setting standards and evaluating degree-granting interior design programs.
