Herman Miller recently hosted the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) Board of Directors’ fall business meeting at its Design Yard facilities in Holland, MI. Herman Miller has a long-standing commitment to leadership in the designed environment and celebrates a rich legacy of iconic designs recognized throughout the world. Company representatives met with the CIDA Board to discuss how they are using evidence-based design metrics to benchmark the impact of interior design on Workplace Experience and Workplace Effectiveness, creating case studies that demonstrate measurable value for clients. Herman Miller’s outstanding contribution of knowledge and sponsorship helps advance CIDA’s mission to provide the foundation for future excellence in the interior design profession by setting standards for higher education and accrediting programs that meet those standards.
“Herman Miller believes that the design industry is stronger when we partner and share knowledge in our pursuit of the best possible future for interior design,” says Amy Storek, Vice President – North America A+D Sales. “We are proud to support CIDA in its efforts to build a strong profession through setting quality standards for interior design education, ensuring that tomorrow’s graduates benefit from our mutual aspirations for design excellence.”
The Council for Interior Design Accreditation is an independent, non-profit, accrediting organization responsible for setting standards and evaluating degree granting interior design programs.
