The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) Board of Directors recently adopted a Show Cause policy. Show Cause is applied when an accredited program fails to meet the routine reporting and eligibility requirements with which all programs must comply throughout a term of accreditation. Examples could include failure to meet reporting requirements; failure to maintain compliance with CIDA’s institutional and program eligibility requirements; or failure to meet other deadlines set forth by CIDA and the Accreditation Commission. The complete Show Cause policy can be found in CIDA’s Policy and Procedures, Section VIII. Maintaining Accredited Status, page 3.
