The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) is excited to announce the fourth annual Innovative Interior Design Education Award Competition, celebrating innovative teaching and program-related practices that advance the cause of excellence in interior design education. The competition is open to faculty members and collaborating teams at CIDA-accredited interior design programs. Given the great success of this annual competition, the CIDA Board has increased award funds in 2013. One $5,000 award is available to the first-place winner and up to two $2,000 awards are available for merit. CIDA widely publicizes winning entries.
The CIDA Board of Directors believes that recognizing innovative practices is an important activity that supports the advancement of educational quality. CIDA’s goal with the award is to join the wide array of efforts underway throughout higher education and the profession to collect and share information about creative approaches to interior design education.
2013 Innovative Interior Design Education Award submissions are due in the CIDA office no later than September 15, 2013. Award winners will be notified in January 2014. More information about this competition can be found by downloading the following document: 2013 CIDA Innovation Award Entry Form.
