Council for Interior Design Accreditation Board elects officers, appoints new directors

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) Board of Directors elected Robert Wright, FASID, as 2010 Board Chair. Wright is Principal of Bast/Wright Interiors Inc. and has served as National President for ASID. Heather Robertson Corrigan, FIDC, Principal of Robertson MacLean Design Limited, was re-elected Secretary Treasurer.

Two new Director appointments were made to the nine-member CIDA Board. Carol Jones, FIDC, FIIDA was appointed as liaison to the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). Jones is currently a Principal at Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd. Jones has served on the Board of Directors of NCIDQ, IIDA, and IDC during her career, including terms as President of IIDA and IDC. Jane Kucko, Ph.D., FIDEC, was appointed as liaison to the CIDA Accreditation Commission. Jane is both a faculty member in interior design at Texas Christian University and Director for the Center for International Studies: TCU Abroad. She has served in several leadership positions with the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC), including a term as national President, and has previous experience as a CIDA site visitor and Accreditation Commissioner.

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation is an independent, non-profit, accrediting organization responsible for setting standards and evaluating degree granting interior design programs.
