Registration is Now Open for CIDA's Virtual Accreditation Workshop Sessions

CIDA will host four virtual sessions focused on different aspects of the accreditation process. These sessions will address campus based and virtual accreditation reviews. You have the option to register for individual sessions or all four sessions for a discounted rate. To register, please visit the CIDA website here.

The following sessions will be offered:

1.       CIDA’s Accreditation Process and Important Policies, Thursday, June 17 from 1:00-2:30 pm eastern time, Cost $75 per person

CIDA staff will review the accreditation process (both virtual and campus based) and important policies and answer program questions.

2.       Program Self-study, Friday, June 18 from 1:00-3:30 pm eastern time, Cost $125 per person

Carmita Sanchez-Fong, Professor and Chairperson from the interior design program at Fashion Institute of Technology, will describe her program’s approach to self-study leading up to a CIDA accreditation review. Lynn Jones, CIDA site visitor and Faculty Emerita at Brenau University, will discuss preparing an effective Program Analysis Report for a virtual accreditation review. This session will include a panel discussion with the presenters.

3.       Organizing a Student Work Display, Wednesday, June 23 from 1:00-3:30 pm eastern time, Cost $125 per person

Jessica Elliott, Chair of Interior Design at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, will describe how the interior design program organized a student work display that included both virtual and physical materials for a recent CIDA accreditation review. Darrin Brooks, Professor and Design Area Coordinator, and Holly Murdock, Professor, from Utah State University will discuss the virtual display that was organized for the interior design program’s virtual CIDA accreditation review. This session will include a panel discussion with the presenters.

4.       CIDA’s Professional Standards 2020, Thursday, June 24 from 1:00-3:30 pm eastern time, Cost $125 per person

Marsha R. Cuddeback, Director and Professor of Interior Design at Louisiana State University, will describe how her program demonstrated compliance with CIDA’s Professional Standards for a recent virtual accreditation review. This session will also include a panel discussion with the presenter, members of CIDA’s Standards Committee and Accreditation Commission, and CIDA staff focused on Professional Standards 2020.
